Public Safety

The dedicated employees of the various Public Safety Agencies in Tattnall County are committed to protecting the safety and security of all who live and work in our county or come here to visit. These are the men and women who never sleep.

Public Safety personnel are responsible for keeping our residents safe from emergencies and both man-made and natural disasters. Departments include the Sheriff's Office, the Fire Department, the ambulance service, the Emergency Management Agency, the forestry department, the E-911 center and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

Personnel are vigilant in patrolling county roads and highways and protecting county properties, including homes, businesses and key facilities such as the Tattnall County Courthouse.

These men and women serve as an ever-present resource for local law-enforcement and emergency services in Tattnall County and serve our county 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Public Safety personnel also remain at the forefront in protecting our residents and critical infrastructure from acts of domestic and international terrorism.
