Health Care
Tattnall County residents are provided with a variety of health care services ranging form quality care in an accredited community hospital to skilled nursing facilities for seniors who require 24-hour monitoring and medical assistance. The county is also fortunate to have a number of dedicated primary care physicians and specialists in several fields.
Optim Healthcare’s dedication to the delivery of high quality healthcare to southeastern Georgia can be seen in Optim’s Reidsville location, Optim Medical Center-Tattnall. An expansive lineup of skilled physicians and specialties are complimented by technology comparable with much larger facilities, including best-in-class surgical services and rehabilitation.
The Tattnall County Health Department provides its services to everyone regardless of age, race, religion, national origin, political belief, disability or sex. The health department charges only minimal fees for its services, and some services have adjusted fee scales based on ability to pay. They also accept Medicaid and Medicare.
Tattnall County also has facilities that offer formal long term care services. Facilities in Reidsville and Glennville provide living accommodation for people who require around-the-clock supervised care, including professional health services, personal care and services such as meals, laundry and housekeeping.
