County Airport

Swinton Smith Field at Reidsville Municipal Airport has a 5,000 ft. runway, a paved taxiway and updated aviation lighting. Situated on 297.83 acres, this Level I airport is owned by the Reidsville Airport Authority and operated by the City of Reidsville.

The runway was extended and repaved in 2009 as part of a $1,820,884 project. Project partners included the City, Airport Authority, Federal Aviation Administration, Georgia Department of Transportation’s Aviation Division, and the engineering firm of Wilbur Smith Associates. The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) has two helicopters permanently stationed at the airport. Plans are underway to add a new hangar and to add a fixed-wing aircraft to the fleet of the GSP aircraft.
