A skilled nursing facility (SNF) is a nursing home certified to participate in, and be reimbursed by Medicare. Medicare is the federal program primarily Americans 65 and older who contributed to Social Security and Medicare while they were employed. Medicaid is the federal program implemented with each state to provide health care and related services to those who are below the poverty line. Each state defines poverty and, therefore, Medicaid eligibility. Those eligible for Medicaid maybe low-income parents, children, including State Children's Health Insurance Programs (SCHIPs) and maternal-child wellness and food programs.[citation needed] seniors, and people with disabilities.
Tattnall Healthcare Center
Tattnall Healthcare Center, located in Reidsville at 142 Memorial Drive, is a 92 bed skilled nursing facility. Tattnall Healthcare offers a home-like environment and personalized medical, nursing, and rehabilitative care.
An experienced professional staff oversees the following services provided to the residents: on-site physician services, 24-hour skilled nursing care, pharmacy services, physical speech and occupational therapy, assistance with daily activity living, and three nutritious meals a day.
A variety of activities is provided including: Worship Services, Bingo, Ice Cream Socials, Arts and Crafts, Musical Exercise, Movies, and Field Trips. Tattnall Healthcare also offers beauty and barber services.
Tattnall Healthcare Center accepts Medicare, Medicaid, Private Pay, Veterans Administration, and Hospice.
Glenvue Health & Rehabilitation
Glenvue Health & Rehabilitation is a 160 resident skilled nursing facility, located on Highway 301 in Glennville. Glenvue Health & Rehabilitation admits without regard to race, color, national origin or handicap (physical or mental). The steps for admission are evaluated by an admission team which ensures the facility can meet the resident's needs.
Glenvue Health & Rehabilitation is staffed with Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) who monitor the residents 24 hours a day and contact the physicians when appropriate. Glenvue Health & Rehabilitation is also staffed with licenses professionals in physical, speech and occupational therapy. These professionals evaluate each resident and ensure each receive the appropriate therapy. When resident's therapy goals have been met, Glenvue Health & Rehabilitation has a Restorative Nursing Program to help maintain functional abilities and prevent decline.
